we've been transforming the shop :)
...when i opened my studio in 2006, i used to work with a guy who was only doing flash and just very little transformations on drawings. He tattooed for about 20 years like that, so it just wasn't his thing to draw or create with customers like i do...
Since he was able to handle tattoos without my help, and our ways of apprehend our clients were so different, i thought it might be good to have each his separate working station.
i had no idea if business would ever WORK there, in the red light district of this strict little expensive town... so i decided to have a big waiting room in the middle of the shop, so people would feel more "included" in the shop.
In summer 2009, i finally had to fire that tattooist, since i really wanted to tattoo custom designs i just couldn't keep on going on with all these flashes hanging on the walls, pre-made drawings everywhere...
and the vacant working station went to my apprentice Fredz.
So the shop config ended up looking like this:
big desk in front of the door, one small working station on the right, then the waiting zone, then another working station...
and there's another big room in the back. We do the cleaning there, and we built a third small working station for my wife, who is learning tattoo as well.
So we ended up being 3 tattooists, each one working on his own without seeing the work of the 2 others...
And with no privacy...
so we had to change that!
separation wall...
messy mess...
fredz oh my god!!!!
building the wall down...
new lights on the desk wall...

floooooor!
the stuff is waiting in the back
Well it is all over now!!! we moved the waiting room, and built down one separation to have enough room for us 3 to work together! ...and we'll even make a little private area in the back, so we can eat away from the eyes of our customers hahaha
